Where we were Were

Could we be werewolves?
Basking together in the moonlight?
Devouring each other in plain sight?
I think we were..
Last night I called out your name
I howled so, so that none could hear me but the moon
None could speak my language but we three.
The moon, silent sister
Will she tell no tales for me?
Missing in the dark
Only kisses
Only gasps
Only clasping necks
nose nuzzled ‘neath the warm coat of a lover’s locks.
Only this and nothing more, she flies- the moon,
Seeing nothing more.
When will she spy us so again?
